College               football               is               right               around               the               corner               and               there's               no               greater               satisfaction               than               watching               the               West               Virginia               Mountaineers               football               team               live               up               to               pre-season               expectations.

Mountaineer               fans               are               happy               that               Coach               Rich               Rodriguez               didn't               leave               for               the               Alabama               Crimson               Tide               football               coaching               vacancy,               but               opted               to               stay               at               his               alma               mater               and               to               keep               building               upon               a               program               and               conference               that               was               written               off.

West               Virginia's               offense               looks               very               sharp               and               returns               many               players               such               us               Pat               White               a               quarterback               that               can               do               everything               on               the               football               field.

I               expect               to               see               a               lot               more               passing               from               him               this               year.

Pat               White's               running               mate               Steve               Slaton               looks               for               another               breakout               year               topping               last               years               rushing               stats               of               1,700               yards.

Steve               Slaton               had               wrist               surgery               in               the               off-season               and               is               feeling               healthy               and               looking               to               carry               the               load               for               the               West               Virginia               Mountaineer's               football               team.

The               big               bruiser               "Owen               Schmitt"               is               back               and               stronger               than               ever.

Owen               Schmitt               loves               the               physical               abuse               that               college               football               provides.

The               receivers               have               improved               and               gotten               a               lot               stronger               and               that               nucleus               is               made               up               of               Jeremy               Bruce,               Darius               Reynaud,               Tito               Gonzalez,               Dorrell               Jalloh,               Wes               Lyons,               and               Nate               Sowers.

The               offensive               line               is               strong               as               ever               despite               the               media               reports               of               a               rebuilding               year               since               losing               All-American               Dan               Mozes.

The               West               Virginia               Mountaineers               offensive               line               consists               of               the               following               players               Ryan               Stanchek,               Eric               Rodemoyer,               Jake               Miller,               Greg               Isadaner,               Selvish               Capers,               Jake               Figner,               and               Mike               Dent.

With               all               this               talent               the               West               Virginia               Mountaineers               look               to               live               up               the               pre-season               hype.
               The               defense               looks               strong               and               guarantees               improvement               in               the               passing               games               this               year               compared               to               last               years               dismal               pass               coverage.

Keilen               Dykeslooks               to               anchor               the               defensive               line               and               punish               opposing               offensives               with               his               hard               hitting               ability.

Marc               Magro               and               Reed               Williams               look               to               anchor               the               linebacker's               corps.

The               defensive               backs               consist               of               Antonio               Lewis,               Charles               Pugh,               Vaughn               Rivers               and               a               nucleus               of               young               players               still               looking               to               make               a               name               for               themselves.

Johnny               Dingle               plays               on               the               defensive               line               and               is               a               punishing               hitter.
               Can               the               West               Virginia               Mountaineers               play               for               a               National               Championship               this               year?

That               remains               to               be               seen,               but               Mountaineer               fans               are               in               for               a               spectacular               show               with               Pat               White               and               Steve               Slaton               running               the               show.
